I woke up 4:55am.
Stretched for 30 mins. Could’ve done a better job stretching. Needed to go to the barhroom. Next time I’m putting my watch alarm in the bathroom to force that function. Also can turn on the light and wake up there instead of laying down and half sleep stretching can make it more lively ball in hip stretch.
Got outside. Morning run was pretty glorious. Did my run in 31 mins. Felt like I had lead feet this morning super rigid. Hence. If I loosened up, used the theragun would’ve probably felt more ready to roll. Alas, listened to new goggins book, and got my run in. And still made it to the office before everyone.
8:46am. In the office today.
Listening to mozi. Power of focus. So easy to lose sight. Track of it. High level.
Apply to my golf practice this quote.
I don’t fear the man who’s done 10,000 kicks once.
I fear the man who’s done one kick. 10,000 times.
That one kick. Is with a wedge in my garage. Such solid practice. 10,000 reps in there. Apply all the tenants of practice on it. And my goodness the depth. The scale. The power it’s giving me. The afterglow. The grip awareness. It’s working forrr sure. Was fun to get some golf in on the weekend.
11:24 am. Sounds like I’ve got all clear to travel to Calgary. Sept 9th. Work pays for it. Would allow me to get more rounds of golf in that week.
2:18 pm. I watched a quick summary for genie 3. Google’s ai which can create interactive worlds. Looks insane. It’s something I did not expect. Much like how these ai could do video generation. Caught me off guard just how good it was. This was another I didn’t have on the radar for something possible. Based off just a prompt you basically have a mini videogame. I’m continuing to imagine how this would apply to a new phonecase website. Where you climb a mountain to find a wizard who can create your case digitally. Then you’ve got the option to have it made physically. And then with where robots are trending. I saw one for less than 10grand. Where are super simple ones with just eyes and arms we could setup to do the actual fabrication. On the path to fully automating this physical product we sell. It’s approaching. Likely already here but with ability to quickly train and for it to have full human capability but better. We could fine tune it for the required production. We would have the artisan product fully automated from order to packing. And then, I can see the other products I developed being possible. If someone else does the actual building of it.
Right away I’d like to apply the digital rendering on wood. Apply that to custom laser etched art panels of various sizes. Make it a phonecase or a fridge magnet, or a desk artpiece or wall art. The foundational layer is custom artwork anyone can generate and then have it etched into real wood making something physical is the niche we occupy.
4:41pm. Listening to Sam Altman talk to Theo Von. Sam gave a little hint to gpt5. Without saying too much. He says. Imagine anyone gets the ability to turn an idea using natural language into an app. That’s the version I’m waiting for. Gpt3 and 4 helped me write macros in excel and I used excel framework to build a wireframe functional tool of my habit tracker. Which has worked wonderfully for me for the entire 2025 I’ve been using the same version. And it’s tracked every day quite magically, and I have all the data collecting for me. Butttt it’s not super clean for someone else. It has these nuances that I know about that are no big deal but it’s not as polished as an iPhone app. It’s built in excel so it’s limited by the look and feel of excel. It’s super powerful to automate one click and it populates all these different cells and collects the data off minimal input. It’s been super simple to use for me and quick for me.
I’m looking forward to saying. Here’s my excel document. Maybe I can give it my explainer video too. And then have it generate me an app with a few more lines of prompting. And then ideally I would polish the look and feel of it. If I’m not bound by excel rules design language. My habit tracking app would be super powerful. In the realm of how Strava breaks down your runs. Keeps the data. Shows your progressing. Gives you tips and feedback as you go.
I’m sure cute there are great habit trackers. But my method has been developed over time by me. So I’m holding out till I can build it fine tuned for me. And then others can use that polished version and in theory my unique angle will provide something different from what’s out there. Which could be valuable.
The concept of memorizing your habit block. The layout. Your habits have a place and the more they become habit you notice at the same time you remember the place they are on the board. The current version. Doesn’t demand you memorize the same way as my handheld versions did. But I’m able to store my to do list. I’m able to accumulate the data over multiple months. It’s overall so much more powerful and with the graphing capabilities. It’s awesome. But there’s room to be able to lean into the original concept of the daily block you fill in. Which collectively creates a masterpiece.
I then want to be able to break each habit out individually. Like I’m doing for the keystone. I did those manually. But in theory all that should be just a click. A filter. To visually see it.
The habit tracker of the future. I feel like I’m close to being able to create it.
Looks like replit can do this. I’ll have to investigate. Also, likely. Like. I know gpt. Thinking version 5 will cover this. So can likely just wait a few more days.
