Monday.
Slept in till 7:30am. Straight into work
Cautiously optimistic. I got some great red light therapy on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday I was able to do some deep water running. Forwards backwards sideways. Plus lunge stretches.
So that’s been ideal. And so far this morning. Even though I’ve only had coffee and a banana. We’re not feeling any grabs. I haven’t had to put my heel up. I’m moving around without really any extra effort to avoid a cramp etc.
And then you make that like realization how you’ve been moving the past 1.5 weeks. You’ve been so gingerly moving from one location to another. It’s wild.
11:23am — legs are actually feeling quite normal. MONDAY. OK. LETS GOO. We’ve got less than 2 weeks to get ready for the 21.2km run.
My recovery likely would’ve been cut way down had I been able to use the red light as soon as I was having those cramps. Darn. Definitely feels like it helped me accelerate the end of the issues here. Well do some more today forrr sure.
12:17 —- red light with lunch, porridge. Left leg. Now on to the right leg. Just zapping my calves and Achilles.
Next up we’ll go do some deep water running. The idea is to get a workout in. Running motion. But I don’t want to destroy myself and regress. Stay patient.
2:24 — lunch time I hit the water for a workout. I did all kinds of stuff. Deep water, shallow water, Running. Forwards, backwards, sideways, in circles. Etc. etc. jumps
I got the heart rate up a bit. Uncomfortably so.
This was an absolute masterpiece. On my road to recovery. Recovering my athleticism. The water workout is insane.
It’s fun to do because I’ve got the run I’m training for. Otherwise. Meh. I wouldn’t be in this position in the first place. And then yeah just wouldn’t be inspired. But this makes it totally legit and expected.
3:50 — feel it in my feet actually. Doing that workout in the water in the sand. Pushing off all the different ways. So legit. I hope I didn’t wreck my legs tho.
I jot some notes down in my workbook. Let’s hope we can progress back this week without setbacks. Tomorrow I’m in the office. I’ll get walking in as a result of that. But I need to think of what else. Let’s consult chat gpt and see how to build back now that we’re walking around normally. If I can make it through the car ride and the evening. Without pulls or strains. That’s good. Need that.
