Sept 2 2025

11:12 — OLAY. The other side of the sept long weekend.

A dinner party, a wedding. And the kids were at the farm/lake. Which gave us time to watch some tv haha. But also, in the margins. Right away really I packed up the recycle and ran that errand asap.

Which was effectively stage one to get the garage back in order.

Lauren asked for her picture frame for her rug hooking. And I had effectively lost track of it.

If my workbenches are clear then I can see what projects are on the go. But then also, fit in new stuff. Like the outdoor vent.

So I had a reason to get it done. My desire for the workbenches cleared cleaned up, to access my one zone. To reclaim space to work. To do fix jobs and new builds.

Turned into. Ok I got the recycle cleared out finally. Big chunk of space. Actually prior to that it was making the time to clear boxes of books taking up space and thrift shop drop off. So there was definitely stuff that had to happen prior to this weekend. And then the weekend rolled around. I was a little hungover but able to get plenty of sleep. And with no kids was able on my own time to tackle it. And made really great time too.

Recycle on Saturday. And mayybe did some other tidy up clear up stuff. But then we had the wedding.

Sunday afternoon I went out. Knowing I was not going to run hungover. Asking to injure myself. So I still got steps and movement in. Moving stuff around in the garage. Sunday till dinner. Was an epic start.

Then Monday. Got the walk run in. Kind of tight. Kind of felt like I was learning to run again. But we got it in. And then errands. I ran to pick up my car. Which is kind of cool to do. Would’ve never really considered that prior to the grizzly training. Also needing the run. Was perfect.

More than a little nervous with my legs. I think getting them working. Then a leg workout. Then lots of steps I worked through lunch. I chipped away at how to set it up. Had it in my mind Sunday evening. Like. Howww do I set this up.

Pulled apart stuff and then try this try that. Then pick a direction. Alright. Let’s actually complete the corner. Almost tried to put those way up. But really. We can do that later with something else. These are legit table tops. Which I had build before but used them differently. Here we are now tho. With a pretty legit wraparound tabletop. I shoved stuff underneath. It is what it is. The tops are decently free. The challenge I had was what to do with the big thin boards. And then I’ve got a cpl doors.

Will look to sell at least one of them. Maybe make $100. It’s a legit door. Wonder what it would purchase for if new. It’s practically new.

Anyways. I wanted to make the one side so you can park. So I had to clear all those out. I sorted the other smaller yet larger pieces. Lots still from the kitchen cabinets. Right now kind of just propped up. In the common area. Which is sort of a surge space. Probably will need to setup recycle somewhere. Could be in this area. Or it’s for golf in the winter when we’re parked in garage. Would be legit. So there’s thaaaat. Moved the big big ones outside way back corner. One will be idea for bob sledding. Hah. Could build out some kind of temp fence for our alley to sort of hide that spot. Just like a privacy screen type deal if we cut slices of the wood to make panels. Could be kind of cool. Allows us to use that area for storage without making look like a dump. lol. But can’t hate a permanent fence. I guess wind is an issue to consider. Alas, I shoved those pieces out.

Kept the large whiteboard.

Kept another Cpl large 1/4 inch boards.

I will clean up the whiteboard here and do at least one video.

I can see one for business pitches, short long term.

I can see another for golf. I just simplified this latest one. Cut all the effects to a wireframe and wow it’s actually pretty legit. Will now be able to add the calendar to it to track completion percentage. I was running out of space with the other one. But was cool to see it all fancy.

But yeah, if I show the high level routine. On the whiteboard. And then give someone this tool. They can track it for themselves. If it’s interesting then I would need to make next step for it somehow. Or here’s the copy paste code from my website.

And at the same time I could explain the cube. I wonder if it would stick to the whiteboard with its magnets.

Which is what I used to invent this wedge practice control room protocol.

BOOM. So cool. And to say this protocol has been good. I mean. Check this zen look of me beginning of the season. Having not hit outdoor shots for 7 months? Or something. And I’m rolling into the start of the season. Finding out how good this protocol is. And now I’ve refined that protocol to a simple recipe. Checklist effectively. You can fill out. Follow along. Step by step on your phone. As an app. So sweet.

Ok. So I can definitely make those videos. Wondering if I film one tomorrow before heading in to work.

I want to pitch the chat box landing page. Website. Asap.

So that was the whiteboard. We’ve got space now to get some work done on it. With it. So that’s amazing. It will help me share what’s in my head.

I’ve got all those floor pieces which. Is a little annoying to figure out. Like. Mayyybe I can try and put some down. Try and fill up the space there.

1:24pm — lunch break. Also iterate some more golf protocol. We were able to simplify the fancy code down quite substantially. Which was awesome. Allowed me to then stack on the calendar view. I was getting maxed out on the length of code.

Things to do in the garage to bring this to life: film me actually doing it. And then the explanation.

I want to adjust where the strobe light i positioned too. Bring it down closer. Make sure it’s pretty well never directly over my head. So figure out the layout for the targets and the magnetic ball board.

So that’s a big one. Moving the strobe. Would be sweet to have it easier to flip on and off. If it was always plugged in. And had a switch. Some have remotes too which would’ve been dope. Alas, could be worse. It’s fine if it’s setup nicely. Can probably wire in some kind of switch at some point as a fairly easy project. I probably even have a switch somewhere I can use. Ok. So there’s the strobe. Take down and set back up in the proper spot.

Another update on the tracker. The alternative would be to fill out the sheet I made in excel. But doing it on your phone means no paper. No printing for each day. This was designed so you remember the order to do it. It’s very specific and if you follow the order. Go through the steps then it’s the most powerful flow. Encouraging me to go through the progression because it’s easy just to hit ball after ball and feel like you’re getting better. You will but if you just step back and trust the process. This will unlock stuff faster. Makes each day more powerful.

After moving the strobe light. I’ll then want to build the precision target. With ball return.

3:37 — oh man. What a stresssfulll day. Yikes. This is gonna be a tough stretch to end the year

I was able to widle down the tracker. Which allowed me enough space to build the calendar.

I have this nice glossy very for the tracker but it was maxed out. Not able to add the calendar views.
