2:25pm. Had a really solid sleep. Last night did some tens on quads above both knees while watching a show. And lower legs on either side of shin bone.

Then a hot bath. And then a stretch.

This morning sleep in. Then quick stretch. Big bowl of cereal with banana. Then straight moving. Ripping around doing stuff.

Get the robot vacuum positioned differently. Stick the base to the floor. Then lift cables I know it’s gotten stuck on under the pantry. Then we went downstairs and started clearing out space in the laundry room. I may have gone too far with everything I was thinking. But the motivation was there. andddd it got Lauren thinking as well, despite frustrated with me moving stuff around. She decided to move the laundry organizing thing upstairs into the closet. Boom. Upgrade. I had to then fix it up tho.

Here’s my list I wrote eating breakfast. Things I’m going to look at to help lift the household.

Upgrades and automations.

GROCERIES
Can we set up Siri to add to a shared note. And have it actually work well? Hey siri. We’re out of apples. And it goes and adds that to the list.

COOKING
Lauren doesn’t believe in meal plans. Because she buys groceries based off what’s available. But this would also help alleviate mental load. Integrate the kids lunches as well. And would allow me to make dinners as well. Chat GPT could get this dialled in.

DISHWASHER
I can make sure to unload the dishwasher before bed at night or before work in the morning

LAUNDRY
I’m going to do laundry now. Lots of hang drying means we should build more drying racks.

VACUUM
I think we need to set up the robot to be somewhere that it can actually go back and dock itself. Learn what kind of automations we can set. Also, the other tall one I want somewhere that it’s always charging.

BATHROOM
Create my own calendar printout for when to clean the bathrooms.

>> I was able to ship out that other vacuum. Which I mean. Yeah. Lauren is absolutely right that we should throw it out. Works just fine. It’s just super loud and old school. And the fact we will never use it there means it was in the way. Freed up space for the mop at least and the other handheld vacuum can hang up there now too. Always plugged in. Importantly!!

10:03pm —- about to have a hot bath. Full day of house work. Lauren feeling much better. Having been able to get through a lot today. Vent up outside. Plenty of work to fix it up. Painted the one spot. Etc.

Went to get my race package with the kids.

Lunch I had chicken(turkey?) fingers, cooked with coconut shavings as the panko. And that potatoe and celery soup.

Evening. We had chicken/ turkey… ? And cuscoose.

After putting kids to bed. I’ve had coconut water. Magnesium x3. A bowl of potatoes.

Definitely feel full.

I also did a longgg press roll toothpaste on my left quad. Felt a little strain end of day. Did plenty of ripping around. No concerns with my calf. My knees were sore tho. Which I did notice. And was like. wtf. What’s it all about. So there was that.

We’ll see! I feel good for tomorrow tho. Need to finish up this bath. Just shaved.

Waking up at 6am tomorrow.

Will do some stretching. Then head to the start line at 7:15. Then it starts at 8am. I just need to be mindful of road closures. And parking lot will be packed.

I pulled out my stuff to put in a bag. I’m running without much on me. Looking forward to trying that gel I got in my race package. I wonder if they’ll indicate when I’m half way.

Picked out my podcast.. alphabet has 3 plus hours to go. And I’ve got books as backup.

I’m not concerned with the length of the run. A couple hours. Feels very manageable. Mentally. Physically I’m just still wondering how my knees will feel. And if indeed they’re healed and fine. Unsure specifically what I’m feeling if they’re just rickety. Or what the deal is. I feel good to go tho. And hopefully I’ll wake up feeling solid. Let’s goooo.
