“Comparison is the thief of joy. “

“There’s always someone who’s better than you!” Jerry from the ultra grizzly.

I am sitting. Reflecting. Downplaying.

I didn’t run it that fast.

It isn’t actually that far.

I see these guys doing the Moab 240. That is something that sounds more reasonable. To proclaim something of an accomplishment.

1:28 — what I got from the grizzly. Was close. It made me work for it. But even still was not that mentally challenging. I’m sure going faster. Feeling more tired. That would more of a challenge. It was really just the knee that acted up. Which with proper time and training not an issue. If I were to go longer a distance. I know full well that I didn’t do enough damage to my knees early enough. To allow that long tail build and reinforce.

I only gave more focus on the quads and legs after the half.

I’m thinking based on what I saw. From that one dude. Never having ran further than 27k in a race. Goes out and tackles 340k. Or whatever Mohab 240. Whatever 240 miles is. I wonder how long that took people.

4:17 — I was able to move a bunch of stuff around in the garage. I was able to fully carve out a year round golf dojo. I reclaimed access to my work bench. I can shove some stuff up in the attic of the garage too. Just need to put a board up there, but I can stick my video game up for sure. Wondering what else. Also, still need to figure out the bikes. Hang those from the ceiling? Then we can use under the workbench to park the toboggans. If that’s the case then we can stash the bikes under the spot where toboggans currently are. I can then put a temporary/ seasonally permanent shelf. Up and put more of the gardening stuff there. The crawl space we can stash the outdoor pillows. No problem there.

And we carved space out for a model working zone. Put up a light for that spot.

The only challenge I can see is turning the lights on and off over on that side. To pull off the strobe light effect. Thinking I’ll need some kind of workaround. Some sort of switches. Damn. Not super obvious how to pull that off. I’ve got the outlet there, I’ll have to wire something. Yeah it’s going to be tricky to get that figured out. First things first tho. Needed to clear space and we accomplished that. Ive still got recycle to figure out. I want to fix that storage unit on the side of the house. It’s a beast. Put shelves into it. But how much of those toys will we use in the winter… is there something else we store there? Or just purely outdoor toys any time of year. Fix it up first. Probably would want to put bricks down? To have it slightly higher? Thinking about snow and ice. Probably fine to be low. We shall see.

Then. Would be legit to hand the long ladder on the one side of the house. Maybe we’ve got space for the other too. Hmmmm. Figure out a more optimal storage for tires as well. Stack them up. Wrap them in plastic. Should build a little shelter. Slanted roof for it.
