Doing a session like last night. Started out in garage at 7:50pm
First I put up the sheet again. Wondering if I get that bigger one from Amazon. Photo sheet. I also do want to be able to pack it up. But that would cover the entire frame. Imagine. Lower it on a roller. Automated type deal. So slick. It’s shop mode or golf mode.
I figured out the lights. That’s a big one. Way better use of my time. Warming up with strobe. Instead of beating balls. Not super useful so addicting trying to make it into this impossible target. It’s a puzzle. Like one of those little toy things to figure out.
You need just the right combination of movement and speed etc.
Something addicting to try and show up each day to try and solve.
Ok
First do lights. Make easy to flick on and off strobe vs full light.
And then fix up the target. Next iteration. Secure a top platform. Was thinking just wrap around the cardboard sheet stuff. Attach sticks. The top can secure to those somehow. The top can be. Should be. That felt stuff. On a solid piece of wood. Cut a hole perfectly shaped to the pipe. Maybe we pick up the proper drill bit for this.
Then also. Do we fold the felt? Or somehow cut a perfect hole and then glue to the board. Easier to just push down and fit pipe. Hmmm. Something to figure out.
I’m close tho. Build that up. But then swivel it so ball returns back towards me. Same line as it went in. Would be epic feedback. Visualization loop. With target in between the action. Something to plug into and figure out. At least this form and then on the course you’ll be more skilled at this. Projection into future with target just an element a slice of that entire sequence.
It’s the technique I use to shoot shots for this shooting drill I do.
Frees you up to flow within it. Versus being so short sighted.
Being so obsessed with low point to a fault.
Build out the target a bit more will help. And then the loop. Will be amazing.
I was just thinking I could also add a wooden border. Deconstruct that putting board. Orrr do we. Yes we do. It’s not perfect.
But can use the same idea. Would still need to figure out the hole. Or maybe it’s as simple as drilling holes. Then jig saw if we were to stick the felt down first I think that would work.
Would be legit. Could help catch balls just a touch. Green in reg. Hole in one.
The hardest part 3 in the world. Not quite. Trying to understand what it is tho.
It’s a mini green for your garage. Designed to torment you.
Designed to make you a better golfer tho.
I’ll prove it.
It’s the litmus test. How your practice sessions are doing. Leveling you up.
It’s the test track. To measure how fast. How good your car is.
I know how to build it out now. And really. Anyone can build one. I’ll show how. And then I’ll use it.
Boom. Voila. I do have the office board. But really. This target is the one you hit balls at. That people are going to buy in. My putting target from golf town. Auto return. Has an adjustable target to make the hole smaller. It’s just science. Aim small miss small.
That’s the quest to level up to 1000.
Every make is almost certainly a new level up. A unique XP point token. Proper boss battle.
It’s daunting thinking 1000 when Ive only ever had 2 and Ive hit a lot of shots at this thing already. But.
