what does freedom look like

let’s break it down.

making 200 grand living in regina is comfy. i’m not making that yet. my current career path in oil and gas and that’s likely, but when. i need to be working on my escape, i’ve been working on my escape from day 1.

the great escape. from a very comfortable deskjob. it’s been an amazing job. i’m 3 years in tho. a bit of a rest. no doubt. after absolutely grinding in no mans land for over a decade. i’m more professional now. the fact that ai is here is something i’ve built with. imagine having that just 5 years ago. yeesh. i missed it by thatt much. would’ve helped me figure out a lott of things. alas, i used it with my deskjob. it’s been way less stress on the family. i’ve learnt a lot of new and important skills working for a big company. i’m going to obviously keep rolling at this. keep improving, keep learning.

comes back to what is best for my future self.

working on golf daily. i’ve built a system. it’s working. this skill will be so incredibly valuable. once fully acquired. and this system starting in early november. i started off season training. i’m not signed up for a crazy run this year, so no stress on me dedicating time to run. i can focus that on working out, and golf. i still think getting out for runs was amazing. i think i’ll sign up the half. that was fun. and maybe the goal is try and go fast. would get me in great shape….. for golf.

the challenge is that regina does not have much golf. whereas Calgary, the glencoe is there with infinite golf. legit great golf. its paradise. so blocking out some time to go play there…. maybe it would be perfectly reasonable this year without the grizzly… to spend a proper week in calgary and see how low i can go. document the games. pick the right time. i’ve likely maybe, not sure i’ll get the invite this time… to wsim in the spring. if not that, then find some other place to warm up get a feel. i would want to do the challenge after having done the warmup… orrrr we just go for it right at the beginning. that’s my bday present. the boys trip would be sometime in the summer… could extend that. go out there like two weeks prior. do a grizzly equivalent. i would have to be physically fit to be able to do the reps, the walking, the rounds that i would wish to achieve… with the object that this would be my way out…. the great escape. to lower my handicap asap. establish it after a full off season of peak training in my garage… which i can for sure do. it’s effortless to me. to get reps in dailyyy. perfect reps to, my setup is supreme. its’ solid. just need to tidy up the target.

the other thing that would make me incredibly happy. would be. playing battlefield 6. maybe forget the old games that i’ve got. just get the cheap version of xbox. or see how much this valve cube is. because it’s also a computer which i’d be able to do corel on, photoshop. i’m very intrigued by this unit. and really. i just want to play battlefield right now. i can forgo halo i guess. i wonder if that would go on steam too tho… or like, microsoft store…

then. one day. i got in.

next step is to complete the target. once i have that then i can get those reps in quickly. if the target is there ready to go. doesn’t wobble around.

freedom will present itself. once i start bagging makes in my dojo. i’m learning how the club moves through impact. the goal is to have an innate sense of it. confidence.

with this project. i haven’t shared any of it yet. i have plenty of footage. was thinking maybe an ipad would be handy to help me edit the good stuff… or i make it easier to chop somehow. when i start making them then that’s easy. i just grab the make.

on the path i have this new target with the secondary level. which i just showed was interesting to hit either side of it. gives me great feedback. just how far its going over the top. so that’s all good. and i like how it shoots right back at me. i think the box needs to be big enough to have the pipe come out the front. right now i think it’s the elbow. my guess is we’ll need ot have that go through.
