I secured/ glued in the pipe in the top. Now it stands upright and doesn’t get clanked off line.
The front pipe needs to be secured better. As it was getting a little wonky after a few shots hit it.
I added cardboard to the front and top. Could probably cut a nicer piece for the front. It was a dull blade. A bit of a hack job.
Alas, it’s pretty legit. And that was proved out by doing my practice. Using the whiteboard. And the strobe. Prior. And then testing it out. And right away. Being able to continue taking shots without it getting knocked around. It’s also heavier and more solid. Not needing those extra weights.
It’s a cleaner look. It has a lower pipe height as well. I was in there. First make was 9:37 then 10 then 10:20
The classic. 20 minutes later. I made three last night.
There will for sure be sessions I don’t make any. That was a full session with strobe warmup. Which really allows you to relax and make excellent controlled strikes.
Shorter term. Having now captured 5 on camera. 2 were previous iterations of the setup. Then 3 all at once last night.
I am curious when I’ll get the next one.
I could easily share the first 5. Or wait for the first 10. But either way. Tracking and sharing my makes is legit.
They have a certain power to them. For sure. Because. I’m just showing the make. But the reaction is from all the shots I didn’t make. As I got closer and closer and then KABOOM. Lightning strikes.
And the pipe system. Super simple. But effective to know when the ball goes in.
