we got out for our run today this morning.

woke up at 4:30, my second alarm actually was going off, which hasn’t happened in a while. clearly i was sleeping. i wasn’t super tired tho but i went and ended up stretching and at times napping i guess in the deep stretches. till 5:30 rolls around and i jump up and out. actually 5:45 and then i’m out the door running by 5:59 back by 6:32am. just in time for Lauren to head out on her walk.

i listened to diary of a ceo, 15 years utopia or something to that effect… disucssion on ai.

and then i’m back and i’m immediately trying out gpt 5 again with more prompt for my excel tracker to see if it works….wait a secondddd…. ok good, my computer gpt had not upgraded yet to gpt5. tho apparently it was showing on my phone so i gather the roll out is in progress. we’ll test it out again, should get some more work on the prompt. start simple and then add complexity. if we can nail the main daily page. i had lots of ideas when my mind started expanding, thinking this was a reality now… i’m standing on the edge of it,

what would the perfect version be. for tracking habits.

it is possible that based on what base44 was able to generate. i could very well be able to iterate and elevate that experience. i would likely need to pay for it to iterate on it enough times.

going to wait till gpt5 is on computer and i can run some tests on the free account, i thiiink based on videos of it in use, i should be able to pull something off with it, i thiiink its a step change. and then clearly what they are showing is using another software to run it or something i’m not 100% sure what its used for. let’s ask.

i’m testing out replit. This is my first prompt.

i want to build a visual habit tracker. imagine each day is made up of three squares centered on themselves big medium and small. the space between the big and the middle sized square forms a border around the center squares, around this border are the blocks or stones, 16 of them spaced equally around the border like a path. when you complete one of these blocks its a habit completed, you click on it and it breaks apart. throughout the day you click on the different blocks which are each assigned to a different habit. on the reverse of this visual, if you flip it like a flash card, there’s a legend which shows you what each habit is and where its assigned on your path. as you complete a day in this manner with this as your daily control panel interactive habit block, when you click the squares those too change colour, these are your 3 keystone habits, when you complete each habit during the corse of the day, it tracks each habit completed, i want to keep stats for each habit that is completed in a seperate page, i want to be able to filter the habits and visually see them in a calendar where each habit completed fills in the day of the month, switching filtering between your habits you can see visually which days you completed which habits, also on a different page, i want to see stats and graphs of the habits like how many times i completed, a leaderboard for my habits, time of day each habit is completed, all the data that is captures when a habit is completed, i want to be able to visualize it to help buid the mental model to help build momentum over the course of days, weeks, months, years.

I’ve built a visual habit tracker with a unique concentric squares interface. Here’s what I’ve implemented:

✓ Main tracker with keystone squares (3 sizes) and 16 path habit blocks
✓ Interactive habit completion with animations
✓ 3D flip card showing habit legend
✓ Calendar view with visual progress indicators
✓ Statistics page with leaderboards and time analysis
✓ Navigation between all three pages

How does the habit tracker interface work for you? Can you see the concentric squares layout and successfully complete habits by clicking on them? Are the animations and visual effects working smoothly?

no dice. not able to generate it for me. and i’m out of tokens for base44 re sets on the 9th i think.

while we wait for gpt5 on my laptop… i came across yet ANOTHER piece of software that claims to turn a prompt into an app… and now its so certified that we’re in the age of this… and i’m chomping at the bit to turn my concept, digitized into excel choosing every nook and cranny but limited by the design language and editability, i baked it all in and it’s amazing but…. visually very lame, and experience wise likely has too many little nuances for someone to pick up and use right away. and it couldn’t generate anything. maybe the prompt was too difficult to get something functional. it has great intentions to try but seems each time i’m running into issues with these different options. theres no doubt that gpt5 will pull it off or along the way these three other options will get smarter, clearly this is the next wave even identified by gpt 5 release
