Saturday.
Woke up at 5:30am but it was raining pretty hard. So I went back to bed. Felt like I needed more sleep my body sore for sure.
Slept till 7:30
Yesterday end of work day I re activated my sim card. Lauren and I intended to switch phones. But needed to figure out the SIM card first. I had it convert to an eSIM in Japan. Not sure how hers worked but I guess no problems from her device. When I tried to switch out earlier the sim was non responsive on my old iPhone X
Anywayssss. We switched phones. I’ve got my old 11pro back.
I think it really just needs a new battery to be in business. For what I’m doing. Should be great with that fix. Assuming we can get that fix done. Lauren does more photo editing while listening to a podcast while playing a yoto story for thatcher. Etc haha. And she does more family photos. I have a bunch of old fun phone cases for this 11pro I can dig up in Calgary too.
5:05 pm. First stop. Get gas. Second stop. Running room, thought I was going to just check out shoes buy online. But then the shoe I thought. The endorphin Sacony, did not fit well on the left heel. Not what I was thinking for my long relatively easy effort runs. I’m not here to break speed records. The end goal is to build endurance. I want km without crushing myself. Annnddd so I tried the other style I’d heard of. The brooks glycerin 22 right there. Let’s give those a try. And wow what a comfortable first fit
Second stop. Replace the battery in my iPhone 11pro. It’s working great now. Took almost no time to fix.
Then while kids watched a show. It’s been dreary cloudy rainy day. I kicked out for a run.
And right away felt pretty good. And throughout felt good. A little slippery tho. Compared to my Nike trail shoes. Really to experience the difference. I love being able to go anywhere in those Nike shoes and pretty well any conditions they’re awesome. But. When doing longer distances here. I’m wanting something more comfortable. More shock absorbing. Especially if I’m doing path stuff and half marathon road race. These are ideal to get some lower impact high km days. We’ll see if I’m capable of 25km, so that could in theory be like 5 times around the lake. Might be a little shorter because of the leg that connects to there.
